Just in case you didn't know, Livejournal's Pingback feature in its current form not only tells someone when you link to their post (which is fine by me) but it also quotes 600 words surrounding that link, even if that link is within a friends-locked post (which is less fine by me).

Also, the 'quote comment to Facebook/Twitter' button will give people the title of even friends-locked posts. You may end up sharing information that a third party, who presumably trusts you, did not want shared.

I almost never friends lock a post, but if I do and you've shared a comment you made to that post with all your Twitter and Facebook friends, even if those friends are also *my* Twitter and Facebook friends, I will lock you right out. I doubt I actually *need* to say this, but the buttons now make very easy something which before nobody would have bothered to do.

I'm actually seriously considering keeping all friends-locked posts on Dreamwidth only. I will share invite codes as need be, and if you create a Dreamwidth pseudo-account with OpenID and I have you friended on Livejournal, I will grant access to your openID on request.

I've just defriended a bunch of you on Livejournal - this is not because I don't read you, but because I *do* already read you - on Dreamwidth. Dreamwidth are adding new features, so it's much easier now to read you over there than to read you here and deal with Livejournal's clunkier interface. The way they deal with cut tags is especially sweet.

If there are things you post to LJ that you don't already post to DW that you'd like me to read, and I've just defriended you, give me a head's up and I'll put you back. And the same if you have a DW account that you'd like me to add to my circle instead of, or as well as, your account here.

When I first went to put in my Interests on the profile, it was split into categories. Now it's all one block, much nicer, especially when porting from LJ.

Now I just have to work out how to crosspost and how to add LJ users to my reading circle and so on.

Oh. Crossposting couldn't be easier. Hello Livejournal! Hello Dreamwidth! Hello sky! Hello clouds!
