Alive!

I'm getting over or around the various things that kept me out of touch with the world. Don't expect updates more than every few months or so though.

I'm spending time writing terrible, terrible fanfiction, which stays safely on my laptop. It keeps me happy and distracts me.

I'm also on reddit a lot, but that isn't a place you use to connect people.

So, how are people doing? Does anyone I know post here any more?

Tumblr appears to be a popular place for posting things. Although it's a bit of a nightmare of a platform.

I try to post at least once a week, but sometimes that's just my dull-if-you-aren't-me fitbit stats ... I read my reading list at least once a day, but commenting depends on how my brain is doing at making words right then, and also my patience with commenting on my phone. (This is being written on a laptop.)

Writing fanfic sounds excellent and I bet it isn't as terrible as you think :-P I *read* a lot of fanfic and occasionally write some.

I am juggling children, work, recovering-fitness (thus dullfitbit posts), supporting fanf, who isn't very well right now, and occasionally having fun. (I am seeing Hamilton in 3 weeks!)

Oh no, my fanfic first drafts are legit, objectively terrible. It doesn't mean that the occasional scene isn't worth rereading, and my second drafts should, *in theory* be actually readable. With odd, novel ideas like actual scene descriptions and so on.

I read *so much* fanfic! Harry Potter fanfic, nearly all of it. It's absorbing and doesn't hurt my brain too much. Writing it is fun if there's no chance anyone will ever see it. I have given myself permission to start as many stories as I like, that never have to be actually finished. It makes writing so much nicer.
