We adopted Spice, bringing her home on Sunday evening. Since then, she's settled in well. Days are already settling into a routine: My alarm goes off. Random goes to work about nowish. Spice jumps up and down on my head for a while. I cuddle her, and then she has a romp, killing my feet under the duvet and playing with anything I get out (usually a laser pointer).
Pol gets up and makes friends with her (getting better each day), gets dressed and feeds her, then goes to work. I come down and she follows me. I get breakfast and stand over her while she eats hers - if I am close by, she'll eat properly. If I go, she only grabs quick mouthfuls. I expect this will change. I'm frankly hopeful that she'll end up mugging Pol in the morning for grub.
I clean the kitchen, feed the birds, then play with her. This morning, she didn't want to chase the laser pointer up and down the stairs, but we can kill an hour doing this when she's in the mood. Then I settle down to watch television and she climbs into the reclining sofa (something I really wish she wouldn't do). She sleeps, I go upstairs and nap, Pol and Random come home, dig her out and it's playtime again until bed.
