The silver pallor of his lovely back
Aug. 31st, 2010 10:53 pmDid I do night time relaxation for ten minutes?
Did I have my night time pill last night? YES!
What time did I go to bed? After all the interruptions, about 2am.
What time did I get up? 7:30am
Did I do my dawn walk? NO!
What's the weather like outside? Sunny and warm.
Did I take my morning pill? NO! I am wheezy so I decided to miss it.
What was breakfast? A peanut butter sandwich and an apple.
Did I do morning relaxation for ten minutes? YES!
Other than the dawn walk, did I go Outside? YES! To the city centre with Sibling and Nibling to get Nibling clothes and, as it turns out, the Best Coathanger in the Whole World Evah. We also pottered about the beach, which was in the town square.
Did I have lunch? YES! Spaghetti and meatballs. I shared the meatballs with Nibling, who loved the slightly spicy meat. This 1yo has quite a sophisticated palate.
Did I take my lunchtime pill? NO! I was wheezy so again, I skipped it.
Did I have a nap? YES! 6pm to 10:30pm
Did I write? NO! I haven't had a chance all day and I am not about to right now.
Did I watch or listen to anything? Tons of Ska Reggae Youtube videos, Radio 6, I Blocked You
Did I do anything physical? YES! Lots of walking and tons of peep-bo.
Did I talk to anyone? Sibling's friend of ten years that I've never met before, sibling, mum, other sibling and nibling, carting heavy shopping about.
Did I have dinner? YES! Salad - carrots, butterbeans, mixed leaves, red quinoa (I like this), mayonaisse, sweetcorn. Followed by fresh dates, apricots - saving the figs for tomorrow. I now have a Fresh Dates Problem - they are instantly addictive, even not quite ripe. Nom.
How many painkillers have I had? Single HFCC last night, tramadol last night, HFCC fizzing right now (don't know if I put in one or two, I was on autopilot)
What bad things happened today? Got woken up at 7:30am by choking on cigarette smoke, not at all nice. Standing around watching bouncing children made my knees sore and swollen.
What good things happened today? Nibling is adorable. I mean, yes, all right, I am biased. The manager at La Bella Italia was lovely and gave Nibling a balloon. I scoffed at the idea of a beach-in-the-town-square but in practice it works and was crowded out with children having a good time and adults full of peaceful enjoyment. Even the habitual drunks were quiet.
Speaking of which, my mum went out to the pub last night, got tiddly and was a *normal tiddly person* and then normal again today. It looks as though she really has managed the impossible and shed her alcoholism. Which can't happen, ever, but there she is; drinking only recreationally and only to the point of being buzzed, and not craving at all between times. And definitely living life to the full. She stayed in tonight though (and didn't drink...)
I learned I really, really like fresh dates, to the point of being boring about it. But they're crunchy! And astringent and sweet when not quite ripe.
