Did I tidy my room? YES albeit not much.

Did I go to bed early last night? NO! I was enjoying company and I think went to bed at about 11pm

Did I take my nighttime anti-migraine pills? YES!

Did I do my dawn walk? YES! It wasn't really light enough to be much good though. The campus is lit up like a Yule tree.

What's the weather like? Dry and mostly sunny.

Did I wash and get dressed in nice clothes? YES! Even unto a supportive camisole, which is as close as I get these days to wearing a bra. It did the job, anyway.

Did I do relaxation after breakfast? YES! I took time in a lecture to do the full routine. It wasn't ideal, but it did drop my pain levels appreciatively.

Did I go out somewhere else too? YES! To all the lectures mentioned yesterday. I had a whole day planned out, and it more or less happened. I went to the shop, came back and cooked breakfast, went and registered and booked things (queued for ages so my feet hurt very much). I went to a lecture on Transition Towns, about preparing for after Peak Oil, which had a few new ideas I've taken notes on. To a war museum to look at a Vickers machine gun and a talk on UXBs, it was good. I have a new army ration pack to play with. Nummy. They're rather better now than even a couple of years ago. Third was the Mathematics of Meltdown. I slept through the middle, which should have been exciting, but wasn't. On the other hand, the last third (how risk is modelled mathematically by lenders) should have been dull but really wasn't.

Last was about humour in science: how jokes act as social glue in the science world. We were asked to write a joke down. I was slightly late and told a joke I remembered, it went down really well. I got a good laugh. (A journalist, a biologist and a mathematician drive up from London to Edinburgh. As they cross the border, they see a black sheep. 'All the sheep in Scotland are black!' says the journalist. 'No,' says the biologist. 'We only know that some of the sheep in Scotland are black'. 'All I know for sure,' says the mathematician, 'is that at least one sheep in Scotland is black... on at least one side.') After that, is was about science as represented in songs, and we had a good sample, from Tom Lehrer's Elements to a great song about the love affair between chlorine ions and sodium ions and how they form salt.

Then after a visit to Starbucks, I limped back to the flat and chatted lots to Colin, explaining the Monty Hall Problem and he showed me a 'one extra robot from nowhere' visual trick.

Did I cook? YES! Bacon and eggs. I should have had steak and beans for dinner but I am honestly too tired to want to eat.

Did I take my noon anti-migraine pills? YES! Go me.

Did I do anything energetic? Lots of walking and stairs. Lots and lots. Shopping too. I cleaned the kitchen and washed up.

Did I use my brain? YES! All day, practically.

HEALTH

Did I take painkillers? YES! Cocodamol last night, aspirin this morning, cocodamol this afternoon, tramadol at about 8pm and aspirin now (9:30pm). Most of the drugs were because I lost my tramadol and didn't take one last night, so I ended up having to use 'last resort' drugs as first resort. I didn't realise I had my pain management so well balanced until today, but apparently I really do.

Did I have a migraine? YES! It made chunks of my afternoon rather hellish. I carried on, though, despite the feeling that an anvil was being pushed through my cheekbone and into my brain.

Do I feel MEish? YES! A bit. The nodes behind my knees are complaining and my armpits are a little sore.

How are my sinuses? Cruddy and my nose is blocked. I sneeze a lot too.

Did I sleep well? NO! I had trouble getting to sleep at all and then I was woken up at 5am by a door closing loudly and was in too much pain to go back to sleep and didn't want to take cocodamol and sleep through my planned activities.
